Creeptastic!
Pictures of abandoned hospital

I went to a doctor about a tendonitis problem with my hand today. The guy's office is in a building attached to an abandoned hospital. There's grass growing all over the parking lot. It feels very empty. The windows are all boarded up, but I still felt like there was something in there.

I can't even give a good reason why it's all that creepy. It just is. The empty and quiet emergency room area particularly bugged me. It just seemed so wrong.

Abandoned hospital
The emergency is just a memory

ok the first one I was like... not that big of a deal but i think the fading emergency entrance is the really creeptastic part. its very wrong, it should be busy.. and its deserted, it makes me think of movies where the apocalyps happens and they show you everything afterwards all abandonded... *shudders*

I didn't get the best angle on the first one, partly due to the crappy fixed focus camera. It's really hard to see how I saw that first one. The windows that aren't boarded up are empty, all black. I couldn't get close enough to make the camera really see the windows.

And what I really should have done was taken one from way back in the main parking lot, where you can see all the grass growing. The larger building view really gave me that same feeling of post-apocalypse, and the empty windows really played it up for me. But alas, the camera doesn't see what my overactive imagination wants it to.

I want to go back with a better camera. You also can't see on the first one that the sign is partially gone off the side of the building. Bits of it are falling off.

But you're right, the ER entrance is definitely the part that nails down the creep factor.

oh they need to make a camera specifically designed for people like us with over active imaginations! the camera would capture what we see about the object, not just the object with no context!

it would be amazing for the art world :D
